CareSource introduces the Friendly Visitor Project

CareSource is launching a project in our Dare to Care program to complement the wonderful work of our Care Managers who oversee the care of our clients.  Volunteers will pay "friendly visits" as ambassadors to some of our clients, in order to provide companionship and "a helping hand" to their concerns and interests.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Community Outreach

Person or team of persons willing and able to distribute literature to doctors’ offices and other public information centers in your community.  Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Speakers’ Bureau

Persons willing and able to reach out by phone to organizations like Kiwanis, Rotary, civic, community and religious groups, to schedule a guest speaker.

Committee Members and Chairs

Individuals needed to lead, recruit and man the many fundraising events that happen year round, to compile guest lists, gather auction items, sell tickets, fill tables, solicit sponsors and underwriters, obtain press, write invitations, enlist friends, offer creative ideas and solutions.  Meetings are generally monthly at which personal work and accomplishments will be reported.

Office Help

Phone receptionist needed to fill in at lunchtime and two hours before or after lunch every day in order to free staff up for other tasks.

Office personnel to assist with mailings of all sizes.  Folding, stuffing, labeling, counting, etc. required.  Great place to meet friends.  There are many opportunities to help throughout the year.

Someone to watch the website for needed updates and additions.

Clerical assistants to help with filing, copying, etc.

Volunteer Support

Our Volunteer Coordinator needs assistance for reaching out to volunteers to fill scheduled tasks, for maintaining volunteer service hour records and contact information; for the constant recruitment of volunteers; for the proper thanking of volunteers and arrangement of the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event; and for committee building and recruitment.
